Top 5 Wellness Apps in 2020

Today, we want to give you some insights into the Top 5 Wellness apps that we are using here at Team Neuratech.

Some of these are POWERFUL, to say the least. We will give a general overview of each of them and then its up to you to download and check out and ultimately use to make your life a bit easier each day.

1. Notion

Notion is easily the #1 Life planner, general workspace, productivity and to-do list app on the market.

Notion is both a desktop application and a phone app. You can use both simultaneously as they synchronise with one another (changing it on your desktop makes changes to your phone app).

This is a game changer, and one of our Founders, Filip, swears by it.

You can use this to write your Weekly To-Do lists, using checkboxes that you tick off throughout the day.

You can also create separate "Pages" to organise different life activities or business activities.

It also integrates with Google Sheets, Trello and so many other applications.

2. Zero Fasting App

If you're into Intermittent Fasting (IF) and want to track your progress or the duration of your fasts each day - this is the app for you.

It sets a timer from when you start your fast each day, and gives you an indication when you achieve certain stages of your fast (e.g. fat burning etc.).

If you haven't experimented with fasting or IF to improve longevity, health or just productivity throughout the day - we recommend you look into it as it's something we preach and incorporate regularly.

3. Brain.FM

Do you love music? Have you ever heard of binaural beats or isochronic tones?

Well Brain.FM is all that and more.

It's a desktop and phone app which plays "functional music" to help your brain achieve specific states. The music they have developed actually modulates your neurons and brain activity to get into certain brain wave frequencies.

They have playlists to help you focus, relax, sleep and more.

This is ideal for when you're smashing out a deep work session, or unwinding at the end of the night.

4. Headspace

Headspace is one of the best meditation apps on the market right now.

If you aren't into meditation now, dont stress - Headspace makes it super simple to get started.

It takes you through 5 or 10 minute guided meditation sessions where you can learn the basics of stillness, mindfulness and get all the benefits of this practice.

We swear by this and use it daily, we suggest you do the same!

5. App Block

Do you find yourself looking at your phone WAY too often?

Do you find yourself getting distracted by the constant notifications and social media apps on your phone?

App Block is a great application for blocking out whatever applications you want for set periods of time throughout the day.

We find this most useful when you're at work and trying to focus and remain productive without being distracted.

The app is intuitive and easy to use and is our top pick for social media blocking apps!

You hear the word neurotransmitters pretty often. But do you actually know what they are?

Let's go over some theory.

Neurotransmitters are simply the body's chemical messengers. They come in the form of molecules used by the nervous system to transmit messages between neurons (e.g. nerve cells) or from neurons to muscles.
